About the Role
The Deputy Academic Services Manager will lead and support a team of Programme Administrators to ensure the effective delivery of administrative support across a suite of academic programmes. You will provide excellent customer service by handling enquiries related to academic programmes, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of the University’s Academic Regulations, and offering relevant advice and guidance to staff, students, and other stakeholders. This role involves assisting the Academic Services Manager with the interface between various University administrative areas and ensuring operational compliance. You will also be responsible for delivering an effective first-line enquiries and support service for students, staff, and external contacts via face-to-face, email, and telephone communication, referring students to appropriate support services when necessary.
Experience
- Proven experience in a service-oriented role with the ability to instil service values in others
- Thorough understanding of the student-related academic cycle in higher education and associated administrative processes
- Relevant experience working within the higher education sector
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across different University departments and with collaborative partners towards shared goals
