About the Role
As a Deputy Digital Evidence Quality Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of Forensic Science Activities relating to data capture, processing, and analysis from digital storage devices within the Serious Fraud Office. You will work closely with the Digital Evidence Quality Manager, digital forensic practitioners, and other stakeholders to maintain high standards of quality, reliability, and efficiency in Digital Forensic and eDiscovery operations.
Your responsibilities will include assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality management strategies for digital forensic investigations; conducting audits to improve processes and ensure compliance with industry standards; analysing data to enhance operational efficiency; ensuring training materials meet competency standards; supporting equipment maintenance and calibration; contributing to quality management documentation such as SOPs and reports; investigating and addressing non-conformities; staying updated on industry trends and recommending procedural updates; collaborating with external stakeholders on quality assurance; and leading efforts to foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Experience
- Proficiency in digital forensics tools and methodologies, with experience handling diverse digital evidence types.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of ISO17025 and ISO17020 standards, including implementing and maintaining quality systems aligned with ILAC-G19 guidelines.
- Understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including the Forensic Science Regulator's Code of Practice.

Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications or experience in digital forensics, quality management, or related fields are desirable.
- Security clearance eligibility requiring 5 years residency in the UK prior to application.
