This role offers the opportunity to lead nursery operations by ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the setting while maintaining high standards of care, education, and compliance.
You will manage and develop staff through supervision, appraisals, coaching, training, induction, and professional development opportunities. Acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), you will oversee safeguarding practices, referrals, staff training, and child protection procedures.

You will build strong relationships with families, working in partnership with parents to support children's individual needs and provide exceptional customer service.
Ensuring EYFS and Ofsted compliance by implementing policies, maintaining accurate records, monitoring quality, and leading inspection readiness will be part of your responsibilities. You will drive high-quality teaching and learning by supporting curriculum delivery, monitoring observations and learning journeys, and promoting best practice in early years education.
Overseeing staffing and resource management, ensuring appropriate ratios, effective delegation, accurate record-keeping, and efficient use of resources will be essential. You will support nursery growth and occupancy through parent tours, events, collaboration with admissions teams, and maintaining excellent parent experiences.
Promoting a positive, inclusive culture by leading by example, encouraging teamwork, championing equality and diversity, and supporting continuous improvement across the nursery will be fundamental to your role.
