About the Role
Are you a dedicated and experienced professional committed to ensuring all students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), receive an excellent education? If so, Lift Kingsley is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and skilled Deputy SENDCO to join our dedicated team and work closely with the SENDCO to ensure our students receive high-quality, effective and inclusive support.

Key responsibilities (in collaboration with the SENDCO) include supporting the SEND team in developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating appropriate provision for students with SEND; contributing to the writing, implementation, monitoring and review of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs); supporting the identification of individual needs and exploring opportunities to tailor provision accordingly; working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to identify and implement appropriate strategies and interventions; monitoring the progress and outcomes of students with SEND to ensure excellent progress; building positive and effective relationships with students, parents/carers, colleagues and external professionals; helping create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive SEND Department environment; contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of SEND provision across the school; and supporting the SENDCO in ensuring that SEND policies, procedures and statutory requirements are effectively implemented.

Requirements

Experience
Essential experience of working within a SEND department and a good understanding of SEND provision. Proven track record of achieving excellent progress and outcomes for young people, regardless of their prior attainment, needs or background.

About you
A strong commitment to inclusion and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive and solution-focused approach, with a commitment to continually improving provision for students with SEND.

Qualifications
QTS is desirable but not essential.
