As an Early Talent Development Specialist, you will work closely with the Early Talent Development Team Lead to provide best-in-class service delivery to Trainees and key stakeholders throughout the entire lifecycle of the Training Contract. You will collaborate with the Head of Early Careers, Partners, HR Business Partners, Early Talent Partner sponsors, and manage key supplier relationships.

Your responsibilities will include managing HR-related activities for the firm's Trainee Lawyer population, supporting recruitment and resourcing, acting as the primary contact for SQE and allocated Trainee cohorts, leading the qualification process, and coordinating secondments. You will also lead development and training initiatives, support early talent projects such as the Trainee Learning Curriculum, manage supplier relationships, and contribute to inclusion and diversity goals.

Additionally, you will work closely with Employee Relations to advise on employee relations issues, conduct exit interviews, and provide feedback to business leaders, acting as a trusted advisor within the firm.

Requirements

Experience
Relevant experience in HR, ideally as an Early Talent Development specialist or HR Business Partner. Proven track record managing early talent programs including development and performance management. Experience building strong relationships with senior stakeholders and acting as a trusted advisor on talent-related issues. Experience gained within a large and complex organisation, preferably legal or professional services, with a good understanding of Partnership Culture.

Flexible and effective communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organisational levels. Confident presenter capable of engaging audiences of varying sizes and seniority. Able to manage a varied and busy workload with strong attention to detail. High level of confidentiality and capability to handle sensitive and conflict situations. Commercially aware with a reputation for excellent client service. Collaborative working style.

Qualifications
Broad knowledge of HR best practice. Employee relations expertise is advantageous. Ideally holds formal HR qualifications or equivalent experience such as CIPD, coaching, or mediation.
