About the Role
Welcome to the heart of Kido, where passion, ambition, and people are at the core of everything we do! As an Early Years Apprentice, you will gain valuable hands-on experience within the nursery while working towards a highly regarded early years qualification. The Level 3 course takes approximately two years to complete, with the opportunity to achieve Level 2 sign off as soon as you are ready. This apprenticeship is work-based, with dedicated time allocated for learning and study to support your qualification journey.
We encourage our team to be the best they can be. As a growing nursery group, we prioritise your development so you’ll be ready for other positions as they arise throughout the company. Benefits include 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays (rising to 30 days after 5 years), your birthday off, 100% free childcare at Kido (subject to availability), refer a friend bonus, performance-related pay increases, career progression opportunities, company events, healthcare cash plan, early access to pay, Perkbox discounts, employee assistance programme, wellness hub, and a cycle to work scheme.
Experience
Some evidence of experience with children, ideally in a nursery setting, is required. No prior qualifications are necessary for the Level 3 Apprentice role.
About you
You must have a genuine passion for Early Years and Childcare, be hardworking, and keen to learn. Your values should align with Kido’s core values: Listen, Learn and Lead. You must have the right to work in the UK and have held UK residency for the past three years or more.
Qualifications
For initial acceptance, the current equivalent of Level 1 Maths and English is required. GCSE Maths and English are desirable; if not held, you will complete Level 2 Functional Skills tests in these subjects during the apprenticeship. The apprenticeship offers advancement to Level 2 sign off as soon as you are ready. Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS and barred lists check in line with safer recruitment policies.
