£33,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
About the Role
Are you looking for a rewarding role that allows you to utilise your skills to influence, support and encourage others to build a future? As an Employment Adviser, you will provide advice and support to guide participants in overcoming barriers to employment and achieving realistic job goals. You will manage a caseload, acting as coach, mentor, and trusted contact to build strong, positive relationships. Your role will involve motivating, challenging, encouraging, and helping customers obtain sustainable employment.
You will meet and strive to exceed personal performance targets, progressively manage your caseload using a variety of strategies, and deliver a positive experience to new customers to ensure engagement with the programme. You will facilitate assessments to understand each customer’s circumstances, ambitions, and goals, co-produce personalised Action Plans with SMART targets, and provide tailored support in job search and interview preparation.
Additionally, you will provide advice on self-employment basics and signpost to specialists where needed, support customers in mastering digital technologies, understand the local labour market to source job opportunities, and undertake direct marketing to employers via digital media. Building relationships with key stakeholders and maintaining compliance with customer records are also key responsibilities.

Experience
- Good working knowledge of the local labour market in the specified geographical locations
- Experience working in a target-driven environment
- Experience delivering services to meet contractual and quality standards
- Fully IT literate with Microsoft Office programmes

Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of self-employment
