You will own the design and development of backend systems using technologies such as Java, contribute to the product technical roadmap, and implement cloud and container technologies including Kubernetes on the AWS platform. Leading the design and support of services and internal frameworks to enhance Sainsbury's capabilities will be a key part of your role. You will apply engineering expertise throughout the product lifecycle, including software design, implementation, security, cloud infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.

Requirements

Experience
Proven expertise in designing and developing highly performant backend systems using Java and Springboot. Experience with AWS cloud services, Kubernetes, container technologies, and infrastructure as code. Strong knowledge of engineering and architectural principles, software security, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with agile/lean delivery methodologies and DevSecOps principles.
