About the Role
Our Engineering Summer Internship Programme has been crafted to simulate our Engineering Graduate Programme so that you can understand what a career in technology at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) would really be like. The programme runs for 9 weeks during summer 2027 and offers penultimate year undergraduates the opportunity to explore potential career paths within our diverse Engineering functions including D&A, Markets, Risk Intelligence, FTSE Russell, and I&C Engineering.
Roles vary from development and programming to business analysis and tech project management. During recruitment, we assess your skills and interests to place you in the right team. These are real roles where summer interns contribute meaningfully to our organisation’s success, mirroring the responsibilities of graduate roles.
At LSEG, you will be part of a dynamic organisation of 25,000 people across 65 countries, working in a fast-paced, innovative environment that values integrity, partnership, excellence, and change. We encourage collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement, supporting your growth and development throughout the internship.
Experience
No prior professional experience is required; however, a demonstrated interest in technology through work experience, extracurricular activities, or academic projects is essential. Examples include participation in Computing Societies, self-taught coding skills, or technology-focused university projects.
About you
You should be a penultimate year undergraduate studying a STEM subject (science, technology, engineering, or mathematics) and due to complete your degree in summer 2028. You will have a strong curiosity for financial markets and how technology supports business operations. Analytical skills and the ability to draw conclusions and propose solutions from data are important. We seek individuals who can think creatively, connect the dots, and adapt to a fast-paced environment with resilience and flexibility. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential. We value candidates who understand that how you achieve results is as important as what you achieve.
Qualifications
Currently enrolled in a STEM undergraduate degree, expected to complete in summer 2028.
