About the Role
Arcus FM is seeking an experienced and proactive Engineering Supervisor to lead and manage on-site engineering services at our client’s head office in North West London. This hands-on leadership role combines team supervision with the delivery of maintenance and repair tasks. You will ensure exceptional service standards, regulatory compliance, and safe systems of work while overseeing all facilities maintenance and project engineering activities on site.
Key responsibilities include leading and supporting all engineering activities, planning and scheduling tasks and subcontractor activities through a CAFM-based PPM system, managing job backlogs in line with SLAs, and carrying out maintenance and repair tasks as part of a working supervisory role. You will provide line management and support to on-site Engineers and Fabric Technicians, maintain high standards of quality assurance, oversee safe systems of work including IT-based SSoW processes and work permits, and ensure competence and accreditation of engineers and subcontractors.
Additional duties involve fulfilling the responsibilities of an HV/LV Electrical Authorised Person, ensuring all activities meet current health, safety, and environmental standards, delivering full statutory compliance, driving best engineering practice across the site, and overseeing all site attendances to ensure excellent stakeholder service.

Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience delivering high-quality engineering services in corporate environments
- Strong understanding of commercial building infrastructure including HVAC, M&E, and Water systems
- Experience managing safe systems of work and permit processes
- Sound knowledge of statutory and compliance requirements
- Proficient in planning and managing PPM and reactive maintenance using CAFM systems (Ostata desirable)
- Excellent customer-facing skills with a focus on service excellence
- Strong reporting skills including weekly performance, compliance, and safety metrics

Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- LV/HV Electrical Authorised Person experience or willingness to train and become appointed
- IOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification
