£28,700.00 - £31,224.00 annually (actual) P5

About the Role
Thomas Knyvett College is seeking a friendly, reliable, and flexible Estate Caretaker who is conscientious and eager to make a difference by maintaining our premises and grounds to a high standard. You will be responsible for general site maintenance with a varied skill set including at least three of the following areas: general site maintenance tasks such as cleaning, litter picking, and refilling consumables; use of hand tools, drills, saws, and other equipment; painting and decorating; basic plumbing skills; computer literacy including use of Excel and Word templates; willingness to drive a minibus; manual handling and working at heights such as gutter cleaning.
Training will be provided for any areas you are not familiar with. This role operates within a school environment, which is desirable but not essential. You will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning site to support the college community.

Experience
Good standard of maintenance experience is required. Experience working within a school environment is desirable but not essential.

About you
You should be friendly, reliable, flexible, and conscientious with a keen interest in maintaining premises and grounds to a high standard. You must have an understanding of health and safety parameters and be willing to learn new skills where necessary. A willingness to drive a minibus and undertake manual handling and working at heights tasks is important.

Qualifications
No specific qualifications are required; however, computer literacy (Excel and Word) and a varied maintenance skill set are essential. Training will be provided for unfamiliar areas.
