About the Role
The Serious Fraud Office (SFO) investigates and prosecutes serious and complex financial crime, delivering justice for victims and enhancing the reputation of the UK as a safe place to do business. As a non-ministerial government department accountable to the Attorney General, the SFO employs around 500 civil servants and tackles top-tier fraud, bribery, and corruption across multiple international jurisdictions. The SFO combines the expertise of lawyers, investigators, forensic accountants, specialist counsel, and other experts working collaboratively with law enforcement agencies worldwide.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the SFO as an Executive Assistant (EA), providing comprehensive EA and administrative support to the Head of Division. You will enable the Head to undertake their duties efficiently by managing diaries, correspondence, travel arrangements, meetings, and producing briefing materials. The role requires discretion, excellent planning, organisation, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work proactively and flexibly to support senior managers and colleagues.
Key responsibilities include full diary and email inbox management, screening telephone calls and correspondence, arranging travel and accommodation, organising and attending meetings, producing documents and reports, and facilitating introductions for new staff. You will also operate flexibly to assist with other duties as required.
Experience
Proven experience providing executive support to Senior Civil Servants or equivalent, including full diary management. Experience managing complex schedules and prioritising tasks effectively is essential.

You are resourceful, proactive, and possess excellent planning and organisational skills. You communicate clearly and confidently in writing, in person, and over the phone. You demonstrate discretion and professionalism due to the sensitive nature of the work. You are flexible and able to support senior managers and colleagues as needed.
