About the Role
The Practice Nurse will work within their scope of practice to provide and deliver a high standard of nursing care. Responsibilities include safely meeting patients' needs by undertaking routine procedures such as measuring and interpreting blood glucose levels, recording and interpreting vital signs, wound care, adult and childhood immunisations, smear tests, and various long-term condition (LTC) checks and reviews. The role involves carrying out planned care to patients, requiring flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and IT skills are essential to communicate effectively with patients and the healthcare team.

Experience
Proven experience as a Practice Nurse working within general practice or a similar healthcare setting.

Flexible and adaptable team player who works well under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients and colleagues. Proficient in IT systems relevant to clinical practice.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. Relevant post-registration qualifications and experience in general practice nursing are desirable.
