Description
We are looking to recruit 2 Facilities Officer within our Property service.
The first will be based in the Enfield Civic Centre the other based in Community Link on Silver Street, Enfield.
Our Community Link service provides person centred support to adults with learning disabilities to meet individual needs and desired outcomes.
On occasion you may need to cover other locations within the Borough of Enfield.
Permanent, full time contract
Scale 3 - £27,030 - £27,438 pa
A full clean car driving licence will be required
About the Role
- Have good communication skills, interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise
- Must be able to work independently without direct supervision
- Undertake manual handling duties
- Familiar with access equipment to work safely work at heights
- Ability to respect confidentiality

- Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
- Ability to follow instructions and work to tight time constraints and be able to comprehend instruction given in English
- Maintain awareness of proper safety precautions at all times
- Must be able to transport and drive and locate destinations using maps/directions accordingly
Duties
- Lift and move equipment and furniture as requested
- Carry out fire safety checks to common areas
- To assist in the fire alarm testing and fire evacuation procedures, including any persons with complex disabilities.
- Work closely with security staff in emergency situations in line with emergency procedures which may involve liaising with emergency services throughout incidents
- To carry out routine maintenance checks and basic repairs as directed
- Gritting in cold weather within immediate areas adjacent to buildings
- Identify any health and safety risks and report them to their manager as and when identified
- Understanding and compliance with all policies and procedures
- Support where necessary, any Enfield organised events being held on your allocated building(s), and if requested support other locations.
- Arranging contractor access;
- Supporting weekly fire alarm tests
- Supporting monthly emergency lighting tests
- Conducting building safety checks
- Meeting room checks, furniture adjustments as required
- Fire Extinguisher checks
- Fire door checks
- Assisting cleaners with backlog of recycling/waste removals where required
- Litter picking
- Desk moves
- Liaising with security
- Liaising with post
- Liaising with cleaning
