The vacancy As a Facilities and Health & Safety Manager, you'll take the lead in ensuring Thamesmead's Commercial / Industrial Property Portfolio, pre development Landbank sites and Public Realm portfolio meets the highest standards of facilities management and health & safety compliance. With a deep understanding of property and safety management, you'll balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight to deliver exceptional services across multiple sites. Your role is critical in maintaining safe, efficient, and compliant facilities while fostering collaboration across teams and external partners. Whether managing budgets, overseeing refurbishments, or conducting risk assessments, no two days will be the same in this active and impactful role. Your typical day might include: Leading facilities management services, ensuring compliance and value for money across properties. Conducting site inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained. Managing refurbishment projects from tender to completion. Developing and monitoring health & safety policies and risk assessments. Investigating incidents and liaising with regulatory authorities. Preparing budgets and managing procurement in line with company policies. Preparing Directorate reports for Board Committees Could it be you? To be successful in this role, you'll be: A self-starter with extensive experience in facilities, property management, and health & safety. Skilled in managing budgets and refurbishments with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes. Experienced in liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance. Experienced in Report writing A confident communicator, able to influence and support stakeholders at all levels. You'll also need: A NEBOSH qualification. Strong IT skills, including experience with facility and asset management systems. A clean UK driving licence.
