About the Role
As a Financial Inclusion Specialist, you will work closely with our Collections team, internal departments, external partners, and tenants to provide intensive benefits support. Your focus will be on income maximisation, challenging incorrect decisions, and helping residents avoid debt and potential eviction. You will deliver a service that truly makes a difference.
You will provide expert advice across the full range of state and local benefits, from initial assessments and benefit checks to complex applications and tribunal representation. Managing a varied caseload, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with colleagues across Peabody to ensure early intervention and effective support for vulnerable tenants will be key responsibilities.
Additional duties include running drop-in sessions, responding to enquiries via our duty line, and carrying out home visits when needed.

Experience
Proven experience in benefits casework and working in a customer-focused environment is desirable. Experience with social housing and familiarity with systems such as AdvicePro and PowerApps is advantageous.

You have strong communication, IT, and organisational skills. You are a team player who can also work independently and are committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
Qualifications
Up-to-date knowledge of welfare benefits is essential. Ability to represent residents in communications with agencies such as the DWP and local authorities is required.
