As a Family Group Conference Coordinator within the Starting Well, Early Help & Targeted Family Support service, you will lead and facilitate Family Group Conferences and reviews, empowering families from diverse backgrounds to make positive decisions for their children. You will work collaboratively with children, families, and partner agencies to prepare, support, and guide everyone through the Family Group Conferencing process.
Your responsibilities will include planning, coordinating, and evaluating conferences to ensure every child’s voice is heard and outcomes are improved. You will contribute to service development, helping shape Havering’s Family Group Conferencing Service and the implementation of Family Group Decision Making across the Directorate. The role requires flexibility to work both inside and outside the borough, sometimes outside normal office hours, to meet the needs of families.
Experience
- At least 3 years’ experience working with children and families in a relevant setting.

- Confidence to work independently, including lone working in family homes and community settings.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in health, education, social care, or a related field.
- Family Group Conference qualification or willingness to undertake training.
