About the Role
To meet the increased demand for services, we are recruiting an additional Family Support and Group Coordinator. In this role, you will ensure that an allocated caseload of families receive the most appropriate form of support, monitoring and reviewing progress from referral to completion. You will implement good safeguarding practices in all areas of work, promoting children’s welfare at all times. The role includes contributing to the recruitment and ongoing training of home-visiting volunteers, providing them with regular support and supervision. You will also plan and run Home-Start Elmbridge groups as required and ensure effective communication and partnership working with other professionals.

Experience
Proven experience of supporting parents and young children in a paid or voluntary capacity. A solid understanding of safeguarding practices and experience working with vulnerable families.
About you
Knowledge of current legislation and policies relating to children and families. Awareness of other agencies providing services for children and families. Ability to supervise and manage volunteers and work effectively as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship-building abilities. Strong organisational and interpersonal skills. Commitment to the values and ethos of Home-Start. A clean driver’s licence and access to a car. Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evening or weekend work.
