About the Role
As a Field Service Engineer at ICE - Industrial Cleaning Equipment, you will provide expert repair and maintenance services to ensure the optimal performance and longevity of a wide range of industrial cleaning machinery. Your responsibilities include diagnosing, servicing, and repairing equipment such as vacuum cleaners, pressure washers, scrubbers, and sweepers. You will ensure all service and repair work is completed within agreed Service Level Agreements to maintain high customer satisfaction.

You will provide courteous and knowledgeable support to customers, attend follow-up calls promptly, and complete scheduled planned maintenance and Portable Appliance Test (PA Test) visits on time. Maintaining the highest standards of service and repair, adhering to Health and Safety regulations, and following technician procedures are essential. You will update job records in real time using the SERVICESMARTPro (SSP) system, provide detailed reports for each site visit, and manage parts ordering and van stock levels.

Additionally, you will contribute to improving work systems, maintain vehicle condition to promote the company brand, and participate in company service and business review meetings.

Requirements

Experience
- Proven experience in a field service engineering role, preferably within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Proficient in diagnosing, servicing, and repairing industrial cleaning equipment.
- Experience with preventive maintenance and maintenance scheduling.
- Familiarity with internal combustion engines including petrol, diesel, and LPG variants.
- Previous exposure to providing technical support and training to customers or colleagues.
- Proficient IT skills, including use of tablet devices.
- Ability to perform manual handling duties including lifting heavy industrial battery packs.

- Willingness to adhere strictly to Health and Safety protocols and company procedures.

Qualifications
- Full UK Manual Driving Licence is essential.
- Relevant certifications or training in industrial equipment repair and maintenance (e.g., Certified Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) are advantageous but not mandatory.
