Salary
£57,402 per annum (Please note payscales are being updated in line with the April 2025 pay award.)

About the Role
Join the Shared Finance Service supporting Sutton Council as a Senior Finance Business Partner within the Financial Planning and Business Partnering (FPBP) team. This is a key role providing high quality financial management support and advice to Children’s Social Care, Education and SEND services. You will act as a critical friend to the Council, delivering insightful financial analysis to support business improvement and change. Working closely with Strategic Finance Business Partners and the Head of Financial Planning and Business Partnering, you will support core financial processes including budget setting, monitoring, and year-end closing. Your role will involve supporting and challenging services to manage financial risks and protect the financial health of the Council. You will also work with partner organisations such as Council owned companies, schools, health partners, and the voluntary sector.

Experience
- Proven experience delivering finance advice within a large and/or complex organisation.
- Experience providing advice and challenging budget managers.
- Experience developing an in-depth technical understanding of complex financial issues to support financial planning.
- Experience supporting Children’s Social Care and/or Education and SEND services.

Qualifications
