Finance Manager - AGM & UEC Directorates

Location
London, with hybrid home/office working. Attendance required at Beckett House and Great Dover Street finance offices, and on site at St Thomas' and Guy's hospitals for meetings as needed.
Hours
Full time, standard NHS working hours with flexibility as required to support service needs including evenings or weekends.
Salary
£73,496 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a bright and motivated qualified accountant to take on a senior finance role within the Integrated Specialist Management Clinical Group. The Finance Manager will provide business partnering support to clinical directorates in all monthly, annual, and ad hoc financial performance and planning activities.
Key responsibilities include reviewing month-end directorate financial positions, completing monthly forecasts, consolidating directorate performance reports in consultation with the Directorate General Manager and Deputy Head of Finance, and presenting these at directorate meetings. The role also supports the annual financial planning process and undertakes costings for service developments and savings plans.
The Finance Manager will coordinate workload and set objectives for their area, delegating routine monthly reporting and analysis to the AGM - UEC Financial Analyst. Alongside the Deputy Head of Finance, the Finance Manager acts as the designated Financial Management representative at Directorate operational meetings.
The role reports directly to the Deputy Head of Finance and is part of a close-knit clinical group finance team. The Trust offers a supportive and engaging working environment with a strong focus on staff development and flexible working arrangements.
Experience
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the NHS financial environment.
- Experience managing budget setting processes, developing cost improvement strategies, and providing comprehensive financial advice to non-finance managers.
- Considerable staff management experience.
