About the Role
Join a dynamic team working across two high performing London Boroughs – Sutton and Kingston – offering a unique opportunity to gain experience within two different political bodies and a wide range of activities. The Financial Assessment and Inclusion team provides financial assessment and benefit maximisation services for all recipients of care services arranged by Adult Social Care. The team also administers, monitors, and processes payments to care providers, working collaboratively with internal colleagues and external stakeholders.
This role requires a proactive and ambitious individual with excellent welfare benefit knowledge, analytical skills, and a problem-solving mindset. You will work within a finance and customer service environment in the adult social care sector, demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to collaborate across departments. Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and social care charging principles is desirable.
Working for Sutton and Kingston councils means being part of exciting developments such as the London Cancer Hub and the largest housing regeneration programme in Kingston. Both boroughs are committed to tackling the climate emergency and investing in sustainable technologies.
Sutton is known for its excellent schools, green spaces, and rich heritage, while Kingston offers a vibrant, diverse community with historic surroundings and extensive open spaces. Both councils value resident engagement and have ambitious plans to ensure their boroughs remain great places to live, work, and raise families.
We offer a supportive, friendly, and collaborative environment with opportunities for career growth and development. Your ideas and contributions will be encouraged and valued by a dynamic management team committed to continuous improvement.
