About the Role
As a Financial Crime Analytics Expert at Paysafe, you will apply and expand your analytical expertise to support financial crime investigations and drive big data analysis across global consumer portfolios. You will focus on segments including digital wallets, issuing/cards, local payment methods, digital banking, and eCash solutions, playing a key role in understanding consumer behaviour. Collaborating closely with internal teams such as risk systems, product teams, and merchants, you will deliver data-driven reviews and articulate conclusions that support effective anti-financial crime controls. The Impact You Will Have
- Ensure financial crime KPIs are maintained within risk appetite
- Conduct investigations into suspicious financial crime activities
- Analyse transaction patterns to identify risks and organised crime indicators using big data techniques with SQL and Python
- Support automation, analytics, and operational process improvements in financial crime detection

Requirements

Experience
- Minimum 3 years conducting data and technical analysis
- Experience working with databases and analytics tools such as SQL and Python
- Familiarity with data visualisation tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Previous exposure to financial crime or fraud topics is a distinct advantage

About You
- Degree educated in a STEM subject
- Effective communicator capable of evaluating large data sets for review optimisation and segmentation
- Full English proficiency; additional languages such as Spanish or German are advantageous
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-growing role

Qualifications
- Degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience

Nice to Haves
- Knowledge of payments, e-commerce, or banking industries
- Experience with real-time decisioning systems and payment automation tools
- Familiarity with machine learning models, including impact evaluation and calibration
