Location
Enfield site - 79 Windmill Hill, EN2 7AF, London. Apprentices must reside in Enfield, Barnet, Haringey, or Waltham Forest at the start of the programme. Attendance at Carshalton College (SM5 2EJ) one day per week during term time is required.

Hours
Full time, with early starts and work across multiple sites. The role involves physically demanding tasks both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

£30,000 per annum

About the Role
This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience in plastering, painting and decorating, tiling, and general finishing work on construction projects while completing the Finishing Trades Foundation Apprenticeship (Level 2). Based within the construction/finishing trades team, you will support the delivery of high-quality finishing works across a range of projects, developing your technical skills and industry knowledge. Working under supervision, you will assist with preparation of work areas, support tradespeople, learn correct use of tools and materials, maintain a safe and organised environment, and follow health and safety procedures. You will attend college training and complete all associated coursework. The role aims to train you to become a competent and reliable tradesperson with recognised Level 2 qualification and the opportunity to progress into a full-time skilled role upon successful completion.

Training Provided
You will receive structured on-the-job training under experienced tradespeople and site supervisors, including guidance, demonstrations, and support across plastering, painting and decorating, and tiling. Regular feedback and progress reviews will support your development alongside college attendance. Training emphasizes health and safety, correct tool use, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Future Prospects
Successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead to a full-time skilled operative role within the company, with opportunities to further develop skills and progress to higher-level qualifications or specialist trade roles depending on performance and business needs.

Experience
No prior experience required. A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn are essential.
