About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others? Do you have 12+ months of UK-based post-registration experience as an NMC registered nurse (RGN, RNLD, RMN) or HCPC registered paramedic, physiotherapist, or occupational therapist? Are you interested in a role that allows you to use your clinical skills in a different way whilst maintaining your clinical registration? Joining Ingeus UK as a Functional Assessor offers you the opportunity to join a welcoming and skilled team supported by specialist training from our Learning Academy, including one-to-one coaching, mentoring, and workshops to guide you towards full DWP accreditation.

Our culture values dignity and respect, ensuring every individual feels comfortable, confident, and recognised for their contributions. We provide the tools needed for a smooth transition into your new role, supported virtual and self-directed CPD, and access to a wide range of development opportunities including roles such as Training Lead, Quality Lead, and Clinical Practice Lead. Opportunities also exist across other clinical and healthcare business areas within the wider APM Group.

As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibilities will include conducting health and disability assessments to understand each person’s unique needs, carrying out Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments for individuals of working age with long-term physical or mental health conditions or disabilities, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for submission to the Department of Work and Pensions, and collaborating with colleagues to provide high-quality service and contribute to continuous improvement of health assessment services in the UK.
