About the Role
Investment Banking at Goldman Sachs tackles some of the most complex financial challenges and transactions in the market today. Whether advising on mergers, providing financial solutions for acquisitions, or structuring initial public offerings, the team supports clients at major milestones. The Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) Group advises clients across various financial transactions including mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings, joint ventures, restructurings, and financial investments. Key sub-sectors include software, internet, e-commerce, sports and entertainment, publishing, advertising, broadcasting, cable, wireless, hosting, semiconductors, electronics, and hardware.

As an Analyst, you will play a vital role in developing and strengthening client relationships, participating in advisory teams, and supporting the structuring and execution of a full range of financial transactions. You will gain exposure to the firm’s businesses and deepen your knowledge of the investment banking industry while developing key analytical, communication, marketing, and sales skills.

Responsibilities include developing presentations and reports using industry research and financial models, performing comprehensive analyses of financial transactions such as mergers, leveraged buyouts, and public listings, analyzing accounting and regulatory statements, supporting live deal execution including due diligence and legal documentation, and liaising with senior bankers, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate transaction processes and client dialogue.

Experience
- Strong academic record with a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of work experience or an MBA with relevant experience
- Significant investment banking experience required, preferably in the Technology / TMT sector
- Experience with buy-side and sell-side M&A, equity and debt financing transactions
- Experience with due diligence and transaction execution processes
- Strong financial modelling skills and valuation experience including DCF, LBO, merger modeling, comparable companies, and precedent transactions
- Experience preparing and maintaining industry/company presentations and benchmarking materials
