The Private Credit team, part of the Asset Management Division, is one of the world's largest alternative credit investing platforms with professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The team originates investments and deploys third-party capital across senior secured loans, mezzanine/unsecured debt, preferred equity, and opportunistic credit supporting buyouts led by Private Equity sponsors. The European Private Credit team is a top-tier platform in the direct lending market, consistently involved in the largest transactions.

As an Analyst, you will work within small deal teams responsible for identifying, diligencing, structuring, executing, and monitoring corporate debt investments. You will be involved in a wide range of high-profile transactions across the capital structure and industries, supporting leveraged buy-outs, take privates, add-on acquisitions, and recapitalizations, primarily for Private Equity-backed businesses. The role is deal-focused and dynamic, providing exposure to diverse businesses, industries, clients, investment structures, and products.

Key Responsibilities
- Originate investment ideas across the credit product suite through early engagement with financial sponsors and company management teams
- Participate in all aspects of due diligence and business analysis to develop and refine investment theses
- Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting investments
- Communicate and defend investment theses to internal stakeholders and committees, including AMD and Firm-wide Investment Committees
- Actively monitor existing investments in the portfolio
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, management teams, and internal Goldman Sachs stakeholders

Experience
1 to 2 years of experience in Investment Banking and Private Credit/Direct Lending.
