About the Role
The role of the Practice Nurse is to work within their scope of practice, providing and delivering a high standard of nursing care. You will safely meet patients' needs by undertaking routine procedures including measuring and interpreting blood glucose levels, recording and interpreting vital signs, wound care, adult and childhood immunisations, smear tests, and various long-term condition (LTC) checks and reviews. The Practice Nurse will be expected to carry out planned care for patients, working collaboratively within the team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Experience
Proven experience as a Practice Nurse or in a similar nursing role within a GP practice or primary care setting is essential.

About you
You must be flexible and able to work effectively under pressure. Excellent interpersonal and IT skills are required, along with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and colleagues. A strong team player attitude is essential.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse with current NMC registration. Relevant qualifications and training in immunisations, smear tests, and management of long-term conditions are required.
