About the Role
This role is to recruit a medical receptionist who will be flexible and adaptable to the daily needs of the practice. You will cover annual leave and absences when required, ensuring continuity of service. Your main duties will include receiving, assisting, and directing patients to the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective manner. You will provide general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and visitors, both in person and via telephone. Working closely with other reception staff, you will help ensure the smooth running of reception and the efficient delivery of services to patients.
Experience
Previous experience in a reception or customer service role is desirable but not essential. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing demands are key.
About you
You should be friendly, approachable, and professional with excellent communication skills. The ability to work well within a team and maintain a calm and efficient manner under pressure is important. A positive attitude and willingness to support the practice in delivering high-quality patient care are essential.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required, but good literacy and numeracy skills are important. Training will be provided to support your development in the role.
