Hours
Full Time - 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, predominantly 9:00am to 5:30pm with some flexibility. The role involves 3 days on-site and 2 days in-house at the Clapham Park office with some home working. Occasional weekend work may be required to support local initiatives.
Salary
£41,235 - £43,405 per annum
About the Role
Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing (MTVH) is seeking a skilled and experienced Local Housing Manager, known internally as a Housing Officer, to deliver excellent housing and estate services across a defined geographical area. You will be the front-facing representative of MTVH, coordinating internal and external services to meet the diverse needs of our customers. This includes managing relationships with the Local Authority and other Housing Association partners, handling general anti-social behaviour complaints, estate services, tenancy management, tenancy enforcement, and lettings management. The role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, customer-focused services and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within the community.
Experience
- Essential car user
- Proven experience working in a social housing setting is essential
- Experience within a supported housing environment is desirable
- Experience dealing with customers from diverse backgrounds presenting complex or challenging needs
- Strong administration skills including analysing customer feedback to improve services
- Experience managing face-to-face customer interactions and responding to enquiries by phone and in writing
- Ability to self-manage a varied and demanding workload, prioritising and organising effectively
- Experience managing and reporting on projects against agreed targets
- Excellent office management skills including managing inboxes and keys
