About the Role
Join our HR Operations team and help us create outstanding employee experiences across one of the UK's most unique charities. Historic Royal Palaces is an independent charity caring for six extraordinary palaces, welcoming millions of visitors each year and creating opportunities for learning, participation, wellbeing, and work.
We are reshaping our HR Operations team and have exciting opportunities for:
- 1 x HR Officer (Permanent)
- 1 x HR Coordinator (Permanent)
- 1 x HR Coordinator (18-month Fixed-Term Contract)
Whether you are already working in HR or looking to build your career in people services, these roles offer the chance to play a key part in delivering excellent service to colleagues across the organisation.
We are creating an HR Operations team that combines excellent customer service with a commitment to continuous improvement. We seek people who enjoy solving problems, finding better ways of working, and take pride in delivering accurate, efficient, and people-focused support. You will be naturally curious, willing to challenge inefficient processes, and excited about improving the systems, tools, and ways of working that underpin our HR service.
Most importantly, you will share our belief that everyone matters. You will help create positive experiences for colleagues and candidates alike, supporting our ambition to build an inclusive organisation where people can thrive.
HR Officer
As an HR Officer, you will provide a broad range of HR operational support across recruitment, payroll, employee administration, systems, and data management. You will be a key point of contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on HR processes and helping to resolve a wide range of routine and non-routine queries. Alongside delivering excellent day-to-day service, you will contribute to projects and initiatives that improve the effectiveness and efficiency of HR Operations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous HR administration or advisory experience who enjoys balancing operational delivery with problem-solving, stakeholder support, and service improvement.
HR Coordinator
As an HR Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our HR Operations service, supporting colleagues throughout the employee lifecycle. You will coordinate recruitment activity, process HR transactions, manage enquiries, maintain accurate records, and help ensure our people processes run smoothly and efficiently.
You will play an important role in a supportive team environment, delivering a high-quality service while gaining exposure to a broad range of HR activities and developing your career in people services.
We are particularly interested in people who bring strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving how things work.
We offer the opportunity to develop your HR career within a well-respected organisation, enjoy a supportive team environment, contribute to meaningful organisational change, and work in some of the UK's most remarkable historic settings with flexibility for hybrid working where appropriate.
We are looking for team members who enjoy exploring opportunities to simplify processes, improve systems, and enhance the experience of colleagues and managers. If you are naturally curious, enjoy solving problems, and want to help build a modern, efficient, and people-focused HR service, we would love to hear from you.
