About the Role
Walthamstow Academy, sponsored by United Learning, is seeking an analytical, curious, and innovative ICT Technician to join a dynamic and supportive Academy. You will provide responsive, high-quality IT support to staff and students, ensuring the smooth and secure operation of the Academy’s devices, cloud services, classroom technology, telephony, and network.
This role offers the opportunity to share expertise across a growing group of Academies and independent schools within United Learning. You will work independently with initiative and flexibility, supporting a diverse and vibrant learning environment.
Key responsibilities include providing first and second line support in person, remotely, and via the IT helpdesk; diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, operating system, account, and connectivity issues; delivering urgent classroom support to minimise disruption; producing clear how-to guides and knowledge base articles; and building, enrolling, and deploying Windows 11 devices managed through Microsoft Intune.

Experience
Proven experience in providing first and second line IT support, ideally within an educational setting or similar environment. Experience with Windows 11 deployment, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and device compliance monitoring is highly desirable.

Qualifications
Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential. A willingness to learn and develop your skills within the role is important. Familiarity with Microsoft technologies and IT support tools is preferred.
