About the Role
As an Inbound Supply Lead at Sainsbury's, you will lead, coach and develop a team of Inbound Supply Controllers and Supply Chain Assistants to deliver availability, stock, GOL availability and CSAT targets. You will manage supplier relationships to maximise service, availability and sales, working closely with Commercial teams to deliver joint business plans. Your responsibilities include overseeing stock flow planning throughout the full product lifecycle, utilising merchandising and logistics tools to meet availability and stock targets. You will own volume forecasting for your division, ensuring accuracy and alignment with commercial and operational plans. Additionally, you will lead planning for promotional and seasonal events, balancing customer needs, operational feasibility and commercial outcomes.

You will ensure successful and on-time range launches by managing critical path milestones and resolving issues with suppliers and internal teams. Maintaining continuous stock flow through the Sainsbury's network, preventing dormant stock and managing aged or at-risk stock where required will be key. You will identify and deliver Cost to Serve and efficiency opportunities across the supply chain, drive process improvement and strengthen cross-functional collaboration to improve planning, governance and overall performance.

Analysing supply and range performance, you will provide clear direction to address issues and unlock opportunities. Developing continuity-of-supply plans to mitigate long-term risks and protect availability will be essential. You will also own the stock budget for your categories, ensuring alignment with commercial and operational priorities.

Supply Chain and Logistics is the engine room that gets thousands of products from farms and factories through the business to millions of customers every day. This role is part of a big transformation, requiring someone who champions change, collaborates effectively and communicates clearly to drive success.
