As Internal Communications Officer, you will play a vital role in connecting our 1,800 colleagues with our purpose, strategy and residents. You will deliver engaging internal communications that inform, inspire and support colleagues as we evolve our culture and continue our journey to becoming a truly resident-focused organisation.

Working within the Corporate Affairs function and reporting to the Internal Communications and Engagement Lead, you will create compelling content and campaigns across our internal channels. Your work will help bring our transformation to life, ensuring colleagues understand our priorities, feel connected to the organisation, and are empowered to play their part in delivering meaningful change.

You'll work collaboratively with colleagues across the business to ensure communications are inclusive, creative and aligned with our organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Devise, manage and deliver proactive internal communications campaigns and strategies to drive engagement across NHG's workforce.
- Deliver the monthly "In the Loop" cascade to managers, driving engagement and measuring its impact.
- Produce regular workforce communications, including weekly updates and leadership communications.
- Support organisational transformation and cultural change through clear, engaging internal communications.
- Plan and deliver NHG@Home townhall meetings, ensuring they are well-organised, inclusive and engaging.
- Manage the intranet content calendar (Milo), ensuring timely, relevant and engaging content for colleagues.
- Develop campaigns and communications that embed NHG's commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion and support colleague wellbeing.
- Work with creative services colleagues to develop multimedia content, including video and digital communications.
- Provide communications advice and support to teams across the organisation to ensure effective engagement.
- Support incident and crisis communications when required.
- Promote and role-model collaborative, inclusive working that builds trust and accountability across teams.

Experience
- Experience delivering internal communications content, campaigns or engagement programmes in an in-house role.
- Experience working with creative or design teams to produce engaging communications materials.
- Experience producing multimedia or video content for internal audiences.
- Strong understanding of internal audience engagement and the needs of operational teams.

- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messages.
- Ability to collaborate across departments and influence colleagues to deliver effective communications.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
- Digital confidence and adaptability when working across communication platforms and channels.
- An interest in communications and corporate affairs trends and best practice.

Qualifications
Pending confirmation of legislative changes, this role may require a qualification to demonstrate competence. If not already qualified, there may be an expectation to study towards a professional qualification.
