About the Role
Are you experienced in keeping track of inventory and consumables? Join us as an Inventory Controller at our Cornwall Energy Recovery Centre and help ensure our plant runs smoothly and efficiently — turning waste into renewable power while minimising downtime.
At SUEZ, we act for what truly matters — for the environment, for society, and for the future. This is the place for people who want to make a real impact, not just watch from the sidelines. Join us and help drive positive change through innovative solutions that build a more resilient and sustainable world.
We understand the demands of family life, including school runs and caring responsibilities, so we offer flexibility on core hours and are happy to discuss any other adjustments that would help you thrive in this role.
In this role, you will keep our Energy Recovery Facility operating at peak performance by managing and controlling inventory of engineering spares, maintenance consumables, and critical parts to support maximum plant availability and efficiency. You will order stock, issue items to teams, and maintain accurate records using maintenance and inventory management systems. Monitoring stock levels, forecasting needs, and minimising overstock or shortages to optimise availability will be key responsibilities. You will also take ownership of the inventory budget, track spend, and contribute to cost-effective procurement decisions while ensuring all stock processes comply with health & safety, environmental standards, and internal controls.
At SUEZ, your career is a journey full of possibilities. With diverse roles across multiple activities and locations, we empower you to shape your own path. You’re encouraged to learn, grow, and take ownership of your development — because when you thrive, we all succeed.
Experience
- Experience working in an engineering, industrial, manufacturing, or energy environment (essential)
- Proven track record using maintenance or inventory management systems (e.g., CMMS, ERP, or similar)
- Hands-on experience managing inventory, stock control, and/or consumables budgets
About you
- Reliable and detail-oriented with enthusiasm for sustainable operations
- Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing demands
Qualifications
- No specific qualifications required; relevant experience and a proactive attitude are valued
