About the Role

As an Investment Trust Accounting Senior Specialist, you will assist the financial reporting senior manager with oversight of regular financial reporting for our investment trust and hedge fund ranges. Your responsibilities will include oversight of financial board papers presented to the investment trust boards, statutory annual and six-monthly accounts prepared by third-party administrators, and collaboration with internal teams providing financial reporting services. You will liaise with auditors throughout the audit process, manage ad hoc financial queries and reporting requests, support the wider investment trust and hedge fund teams, present financial reports to boards, and contribute to launch, closure, and corporate transaction projects. Additional duties will be assigned as needed.

Experience
Strong accounting knowledge of Investment Trust reporting frameworks including AIC SORP, hedge fund accounts, UK GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP. Experience overseeing third-party providers is desirable.
About you
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to prioritise effectively and work independently while taking responsibility for tasks and actions. Enthusiastic, approachable, and collaborative team player. Proficient in Excel and comfortable working with Copilot and embedding AI within operating models.
Qualifications
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification is preferred.
