About the Role
Immediate Media Co is home to some of the biggest and most loved consumer brands in the UK, including Radio Times, Good Food and BBC Gardeners World magazine. Our trusted, quality content reaches millions of people a month across digital, print, video, podcasts, apps and live events. We’re the destination for people looking to get more from the things they love. We’re here to inspire, fuel, encourage and educate. Whether it’s the big things, or the little things; from reaching fitness goals to savouring good food, cultivating outdoor spaces, or enjoying the latest TV sensation – we help bring our audiences joy!
We’re looking for a Junior Data Analyst who’s curious, motivated, and excited to learn. You’ll join our central Data & Analytics team and work closely with analysts, data engineers, analytics engineers and business stakeholders across editorial, product and commercial teams. This role is ideal if you enjoy exploring data, asking questions, and turning numbers into stories. You won’t be expected to know everything — we’re looking for someone who wants to experiment, learn quickly, and make an impact.
You’ll love this role if you have previous experience in analysing and optimising product and user behaviour, are skilled in managing large datasets using SQL and visualisation tools, and are knowledgeable about developments in AI and how this can lead to better use of data and insights. You possess a strong desire for knowledge and continuous personal development, aiming to influence strategic decisions directly through data insights.
As a Junior Data Analyst you will:
- Support analysis across audience behaviour, product performance and commercial outcomes
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using SQL and a variety of visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Work with GA4 and other data sources to understand how users interact with our products
- Help uncover patterns, trends and opportunities in messy, real‑world data
- Learn how AI and automation can improve analytics workflows and efficiency
- Collaborate with editorial, product and audience teams to answer everyday questions with data
- Develop your data storytelling skills - explaining insights clearly and confidently
Experience
A strong analytical foundation through study, training or early career experience
Some experience using SQL, GA4, DBT, Python or similar analytics tools
About you
Interest in statistics, data visualisation or modelling
Naturally curious mindset - you ask "why?" and enjoy problem solving
Clear communicator who wants to grow their confidence with stakeholders
Enthusiasm for learning, experimenting and developing as an analyst
Qualifications
Nice to have exposure to media data, dashboards, automation or AI assisted analysis - but not required
