Our trusted, quality content reaches millions of people a month across digital, print, video, podcasts, apps and live events. The Senior Marketing Executive plays a key role within Immediate’s Customer Marketing & Subscriptions team, driving growth and performance across our app portfolio, with a focus on our Food and Entertainment brands. A strategic and commercially minded marketer, you will bring expertise in app ecosystems, acquisition, and subscription models to accelerate the next stage of our app growth journey.
You will deliver Immediate's App Store optimisation strategy and continuous improvement across acquisition, conversion, and monetisation. Working closely with Product, Tech, Brand, and Data teams, you will develop and deliver campaigns and initiatives that enhance app visibility, optimise spend and deliver measurable growth. This cross-functional role sits at the centre of Immediate’s digital transformation, blending creativity, analytics, and commercial focus to ensure our apps play a vital role in achieving ambitious subscription goals.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering multi-channel app marketing campaigns to drive digital subscription growth, coordinating activity across paid social, PPC, ASO, CRM and other channels to ensure timely and aligned campaign launches.
- Acting as the central coordinator across Product, Tech, Brand, Design, and CRM teams for app marketing, briefing specialists, aligning timelines and maintaining consistency with the broader digital subscription strategy.
- Collaborating with the design team to produce multi-channel campaign assets promoting the Good Food and Radio Times apps, ensuring brand consistency and tone of voice.
- Contributing to App Store Optimisation (ASO) including managing keyword strategy, metadata testing, in-app event strategy, feature nomination, creative optimisation and exploring new market opportunities such as the US and overseas.
- Using AppsFlyer, in-app analytics and internal reporting to track and monitor campaign performance across acquisition and lifecycle journeys, turning data into clear recommendations and actionable insights.
- Running structured experimentation across paid acquisition and app store channels to continually improve conversion and visibility.
- Supporting subscriber LTV and CAC goals by optimising spend and offer strategy across Apple App Store, Google Play and web checkout.
- Building strong knowledge of platform developments (Apple, Google, AppsFlyer) relevant to app marketing and sharing insights with the wider team, becoming the in-house app marketing expert.
Experience
- Proven experience planning and delivering multi-channel digital marketing campaigns, ideally within consumer subscription or digital media businesses.
- Experience in user acquisition for consumer mobile apps is desirable.
- Some app marketing experience including exposure to App Store Connect/Google Play Console, ASO fundamentals or working alongside ASO specialists/agencies; deep ASO experience is a plus.
- Good understanding of conversion and customer funnel dynamics, able to identify uplifts or drop offs and adapt campaigns accordingly.
- Experience with analytics tools such as AppsFlyer or other MMPs to track and interpret campaign performance; hands-on attribution/deep-linking expertise is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills, able to translate data from multiple channels into clear, actionable recommendations.
- Experience with paid acquisition across Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, and Meta.
About you
- Comfortable coordinating multiple workstreams and collaborating with specialist teams (design, CRM, paid media, product) to deliver campaigns on time and to a high standard.
- Creative and proactive, able to bring ideas to life, experiment, iterate and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised with the ability to forward-plan campaign schedules well in advance to capitalise on key seasonal moments.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Genuine curiosity about emerging channels and industry changes, with a keen interest to test and learn.
Qualifications
No specific formal qualifications required, but relevant marketing experience and a strong commercial mindset are essential.
