With a state-of-the-art culinary facility and a reputation for extraordinary dining experiences, Fulham Pier caters to high-profile events ranging from matchdays and VIP occasions to large-scale functions serving up to 25,000 covers per event.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen brigade. In this pivotal role, you will support the Sous Chef and Head Chef in delivering seamless service, consistently excellent menus, and smooth kitchen operations in a fast-paced, high-end environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and delivering consistently high-quality dishes aligned with Fulham Pier’s culinary standards
- Support the development of seasonal menus and new recipes in line with market trends and event themes
- Oversee specific kitchen sections to ensure smooth workflow and organisation
- Mentor and supervise junior kitchen staff, providing training and feedback
- Assist the Sous Chef in delegating tasks and maintaining kitchen efficiency during busy service periods
- Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, adhering to food safety regulations
- Conduct temperature and quality checks to ensure safe food preparation
- Adapt to high-pressure, fast-paced environments during events and match days
- Collaborate with the culinary team to execute high-volume catering while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced kitchen environment is essential. Strong culinary skills with a focus on consistent quality and presentation are required.

About you
Excellent organisational and time management abilities. Ability to lead and motivate junior kitchen staff while working effectively as part of a team. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and match days as required.

Qualifications
Knowledge of health and food safety standards is essential, with certifications such as Level 2 Food Safety (or equivalent) preferred.
