About the Role
We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Lead Engineer to take ownership of a key client site, delivering high-quality hard Facilities Management (FM) services within a prestigious environment. This senior, site-lead role is ideal for an experienced engineer ready to step up. While this position sits at supervisor level, there is no direct line management responsibility. Instead, the focus is on managing the site from a technical and stakeholder perspective, acting as the senior engineering presence.

As Lead Engineer, you will be the primary point of contact on site, ensuring service delivery excellence while building strong relationships with key stakeholders across both JLL and Aviva. You will bring a strong technical background, confidence in decision-making, and a highly professional, client-facing approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior engineering lead on site, ensuring high standards across all hard FM services
- Manage day-to-day Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) maintenance activities, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining excellent working relationships
- Liaise effectively with senior stakeholders across JLL and Aviva, providing updates and solutions
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and service partners, including review and approval of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
- Prepare and manage quotes for additional works (up to £5,000) and escalate where required
- Provide site-specific technical recommendations aligned with SFG20 standards
- Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and Wates Operating Framework
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to reporting where required
- Support delivery of additional M&E works within technical competence

Requirements

Experience
- Strong Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) background
- Proven ability to operate confidently at a senior level
- Experience managing hard FM services and maintenance activities
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders, including clients and FM partners

About You
- Confident and capable engineer with a professional and approachable manner
- Excellent communicator, comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Client-facing with a highly professional attitude

Qualifications
- Level 3 City & Guilds (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent
- IOSH, NEBOSH or similar Health & Safety qualification (desirable)
- Ability to undergo Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage
- Additional pre-employment checks may apply depending on role requirements
