About the Role
The Legal Cashier & Operations Coordinator or Assistant plays a vital role in supporting Clifford Chance's financial operations by accurately and timely processing client and office account transactions. This position ensures compliance with Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules, maintains the integrity of financial records, and delivers high-quality service to partners, lawyers, and business professional teams. You will be responsible for client money administration, office account transactions, banking and reconciliations, compliance and controls, and supporting finance operational processes. The role requires liaising with banks, third-party providers, and internal stakeholders, contributing positively to team objectives, and assisting with audit requests and process improvements. This position offers the opportunity to work within a fast-paced, complex professional services environment, contributing to the operational excellence of the Partnership Finance department.

Experience
Previous experience in legal cashiering, finance operations, or accounting roles is essential. A sound understanding of SRA Accounts Rules, client money principles, and maintaining accurate, compliant, and well-controlled financial processes is required. Practical experience processing financial transactions, completing bank reconciliations, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring records are accurate and supported by documentation is necessary.

You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational and prioritisation skills, and the ability to manage competing demands efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and service. Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Confidence in using Microsoft Excel and finance systems to support cashiering activities, reporting, and transaction management is required.
