£109,725 per annum

About the Role
The post involves providing anaesthetic services primarily for day-case ophthalmic surgeries, many of which are performed under local anaesthesia. Due to the limited range of services available compared to a general hospital, the anaesthetic team plays a crucial role in perioperative patient care. In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to departmental activities including management, teaching, and audit to support continuous service improvement.

Experience
Proven experience in anaesthesia, preferably with exposure to ophthalmic procedures or similar day-case surgical settings.

Qualifications
Full GMC registration with a licence to practise and appropriate CCT or equivalent in Anaesthetics. Relevant postgraduate qualifications and training in ophthalmic anaesthesia are desirable.
