About the Role
WPS is seeking an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Facilities Management team. You will support a diverse portfolio of commercial and corporate properties across Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Midlands region. This role involves delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive electrical maintenance services to ensure buildings remain safe, compliant, and fully operational. You will carry out fault finding, testing, inspection, and repair of electrical systems and equipment, support building services maintenance including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, and associated plant. The role also includes minor installation works and electrical upgrades as required. You will be expected to complete all work safely and in accordance with current regulations, company procedures, and client requirements. Accurate completion of job reports, compliance documentation, and service records using mobile technology is essential. Collaboration with multi-skilled engineering colleagues and participation in the on-call rota when required are also key aspects of this role.
Experience
Proven experience working within Facilities Management, Building Services, or a maintenance environment. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Experience delivering planned and reactive electrical maintenance.
About you
Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism. Willingness to participate in an on-call rota. Must hold a full UK driving licence.
Qualifications
Qualified electrician with City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent in Electrical Installation/Maintenance. 18th Edition (BS7671) certification. Knowledge of statutory compliance and safe systems of work. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) at offer stage.
