About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and run the music department at Lift Rawlett, part of Lift Schools MAT. You will join a secondary school on a transformational journey led by Executive Principal Jasmine Woodard. The music department boasts fantastic facilities and excellent GCSE results, with 80% achieving 5+ grades. Due to an early retirement, we are seeking a motivated music teacher to lead, shape, and deliver outstanding music lessons. This role offers the rare chance to teach in a way that best delivers education and to influence how music is taught across the school. The successful candidate will report to Christina Pirrie, Assistant Vice Principal and Head of the Curriculum Team, who has extensive experience and whole-school responsibilities.

Experience
Proven track record of delivering engaging music lessons and a broad, balanced curriculum that supports student achievement and progress.
About you
Ability to create a positive learning environment where all students feel supported and encouraged to reach their full potential. Skilled in designing engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to raise attainment. Collaborative approach to working with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support students’ personal development and promote inclusivity.
Qualifications
Qualified teacher status and relevant music teaching experience are expected.
