About the Role
This is a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity for 6 months (maternity cover) based in Brixton. The role is generic and involves onsite inspections, fire risk assessments, contract monitoring, face-to-face vulnerability surveys, and working with hoarders. You will respond to customer queries, handle complaints and members' enquiries, carry out tenancy management matters, tenancy audits, estate walkabouts, estate surgeries, and attend evening tenant and resident meetings with stakeholders. There is scope to manage and direct your own work patterns. Although initially for 6 months, there may be opportunities to extend the contract.

About the Team
The team is based in Brixton and focuses on delivering excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders. We prioritize supportive teamwork and assisting vulnerable residents. Maintaining safe and clean estates is achieved through collaboration with other teams and contractors. Continuous professional development is encouraged through mentoring and coaching, with many Neighbourhood Housing Officers progressing to senior roles.
Experience
- Contributing to the development of sustainable communities and delivering integrated housing services to tenants and leaseholders.
- Working closely with teams and stakeholders to achieve sustainable tenancies.
- Providing a proactive, customer-focused housing management service.
- Ensuring legal and contractual obligations to tenants and leaseholders are met, including safety and maintenance of estates.
- Acting as a visible presence on estates and providing advice, information, and reports on housing management matters.
- Supporting the delivery of the Vulnerable Residents Offer.
