About the Role
We are recruiting a Neighbourhood Safeguarding Officer to join our motivated Neighbourhood Team, delivering high-quality housing services within the London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH). This key role focuses on managing casework related to Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding, and Hoarding, ensuring cases are handled consistently and effectively to achieve the best outcomes for affected residents. You will provide advice and support to colleagues across the Council in line with relevant legislation and best practice.

Key responsibilities include acting as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns, supporting training and awareness initiatives, conducting detailed case reviews, providing risk assessments and safety planning for survivors, and representing LBTH at key meetings such as MARAC and VAWG. You will champion the Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance (DAHA) project and work collaboratively with internal departments and external agencies to safeguard families and improve reporting and recording procedures.

The role also involves contributing to policy reviews, ensuring professional conduct aligned with LBTH values, managing cases within the LBTH case management system, and undertaking other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Requirements

Experience
Proven experience in managing safeguarding concerns, particularly relating to Domestic Abuse, Safeguarding, and Hoarding. Experience in case management, risk assessments, safety planning, and multi-agency working is essential. Ability to investigate incidents and support training delivery is required.

Qualifications
