As a Nursery Practitioner, you will create a nurturing environment that supports a safe, engaging space where children can learn and thrive. You will be a consistent key person, offering comfort, stability, and strong relationships for your key children. Your responsibilities will include observing and planning learning by recording observations and planning next steps to support each child’s development. You will use varied teaching strategies, adapting approaches to meet different learning styles and interests.
You will create enabling environments by setting up inspiring spaces that spark curiosity, awe, and exploration. Supporting SEND needs, you will work with families and professionals to provide tailored support for children with additional needs. Safeguarding children effectively is paramount, following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns promptly to the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL). Additionally, you will carry out safety checks and contribute to daily health and safety routines and risk assessments.
Experience
Experience working with children in early years settings is desirable but not essential. Enthusiasm and a commitment to supporting children's development are key.

Qualifications
Relevant early years qualifications are advantageous but not mandatory. A willingness to undertake training and professional development is essential. Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment checks including an enhanced DBS and barred lists check as part of Kido’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
