Enfield Council has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Occupational Therapist within our Adult Social care, Single Point of Access Team. Working alongside Social Workers, Social Care Assessors and Assistant Occupational Therapists you will be utilising a strength-based approach to promote independence and well-being. You will work in line with the Care Act to promote service users choice and control in their daily lives while respecting the key elements of the act to ensure service users can contribute to society and continue to have meaningful, autonomous and self-determined lives. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing. You will have the ability to gather and record information in order to prioritise queries, resolve problems and signpost to alternative services. You will be highly motivated and familiar with dealing with complex and emotionally challenging situations through to resolution while ensuring service users and carers are supported with dignity and respect and are promoted to fully engage in the assessment process, in line with the principles of personalisation and self-directed support. You will be Registered with the HCPC, you will hold a professional OT qualification with post qualifying experience in health and social care including community placements.
