About the Role
Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist who believes in the power of meaningful occupation to transform lives? Jami is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Mental Health Service, supporting members of the Jewish community experiencing mental illness, psychological distress, trauma, isolation and other challenges that impact daily life and wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a recovery-focused, strengths-based and person-centred service, helping people build confidence, independence and resilience while achieving goals that matter to them.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a key role in supporting individuals to engage in meaningful occupations that enhance their recovery, independence and quality of life. You will undertake occupational therapy assessments, develop personalised intervention plans and deliver both individual and group-based therapeutic support. Working closely with service users, you will help them identify strengths, overcome barriers and achieve outcomes that are meaningful to them.

The role combines direct therapeutic work, community engagement, partnership working and professional collaboration within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Undertaking comprehensive occupational therapy assessments using evidence-based models and tools.
- Developing and delivering personalised intervention plans focused on recovery and independence.
- Supporting individuals to develop daily living skills, routines and confidence.
- Facilitating therapeutic groups, workshops and recovery-focused activities.
- Helping people access volunteering, education, employment and community opportunities.
- Supporting service users to improve social participation, wellbeing and quality of life.
- Working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, community organisations and partner agencies.
- Advocating for individuals and supporting them to access appropriate services and resources.
- Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service development, quality improvement and evaluation activities.
