About the Role
As an Outpatient Clinic Coordinator, you will provide a professional, comprehensive, and efficient reception and administration service to the Trust's outpatient clinics based at Moorfields North satellite sites. Your key responsibilities include meeting and greeting patients on arrival, checking patients into the appropriate clinics using the Trust patient administration system, booking clinic appointments, and accurately recording patient data. You will also support clinic management by ensuring clinics are booked to profile, preparing patient notes, answering queries both by telephone and in person, filing, scanning, booking patient transport, and assisting the Assistant Clinic Manager with clinic cancellations and other administrative duties. You will play a vital role in reducing over-booking of clinics and helping to ensure a positive experience for patients. Additionally, you will respond promptly and courteously to telephone enquiries from patients and staff, adhering to service guidelines and standards, and handle concerns appropriately to maintain service efficiency. You will provide accurate responses to patient queries regarding their treatment pathway, explaining information clearly and referring to relevant colleagues when necessary. Arranging transport bookings for patients as required is also part of your role.
Experience
Experience in reception or administrative roles within a healthcare or clinical environment is desirable to effectively manage patient interactions and clinic administration.

You are professional, courteous, and able to communicate clearly with patients and staff. You have strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accurate booking and data management. You are able to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple tasks, and respond to enquiries and concerns appropriately to maintain a smooth clinic operation.
Qualifications
Relevant administrative or customer service qualifications are advantageous but not essential. A willingness to learn and adapt within a healthcare setting is important.
